Tally data security on cloud
Which tally cloud Software should i buy.
When choosing any solution or software, the first few questions that come to mind are: “Is it safe to use this application?”, “Will my data remain safe against external threats?”, and “Is the solution secure enough?”

These questions are very reasonable because ransomware attacks and data theft have become quite common these days. These threats can significantly impact your business, causing data loss, business downtime, and, in some cases, serious financial damage.

Especially in the case of Tally Cloud, such issues can disrupt daily operations, lead to the loss of critical financial data, and result in expensive downtime.

So how do we, as Tally Cloud users, ensure that we don’t get exposed to such threats? The very obvious answer to this question is to choose trusted and reliable vendors who have implemented robust security measures to protect your data.

Since we are discussing Tally Cloud, let us delve deeper into the common reasons why your Tally data might be exposed to attacks and threats.

Here is a list:
  1. Insecure Hardware Configuration
  2. Lack of Regular Hardware Maintenance
  3. Absence of Hardware Firewalls
  4. Outdated Software and Old Operating Systems
  5. Poor Infrastructure and Unsecured Networks
  6. Ineffective Antivirus Solutions
  7. Insufficient Backups and Disorganized Backup Mechanism
  8. Inadequate Security Measures
  9. Lack of a Disaster Recovery Plan

A reliable Tally on Cloud vendor must have robust infrastructure, up-to-date software, and comprehensive security measures in place to safeguard your Tally data from ransomware attacks and unexpected breakdowns.

At Sugam Cloud, your data’s security is our utmost priority. With over nine years of experience in maintaining secure and reliable infrastructure, Sugam Cloud is a renowned brand known for delivering outstanding and uninterrupted service.

Sugam Cloud is a product powered by Enjay IT Solutions, a company that has been in operation for 25 years.

Let us look at the measures we have taken on Sugam Cloud to ensure your data’s security against all threats.

Infra-Level Security

Safe and Secure Sugam Cloud Infrastructure
Data Center: On Sugam Cloud, your Tally is hosted at Tier 4 Data Centers. Tier 4 data centers offer the highest standard of security and have an uptime of 99.995%.

Latest Hardware: To run any application on the cloud, various hardware components such as servers, SSDs, and network cables are used. At Enjay, we only use the latest hardware and never rely on used or refurbished equipment. This minimizes the risk of hardware-related flaws and other vulnerabilities.

Hypervisor Technology: Hypervisors are technologies used for virtualization. With this technology, virtual machines are created on the server. We use Proxmox, one of the leading virtualization platforms.

Operating System: To install any software like Tally, an operating system (OS) is required. We have deployed the latest, licensed version of Windows Server 2022. Using the latest version ensures access to the most current security patches and features. Tata Tele Business is our licensing partner for Windows OS.

Terminal Services: Terminal services allow Tally users to securely access OS and applications virtually from any location using a URL. We utilize the 16 LTS licensed version of TSPlus.

Premium SSL Certificates: SSL certification is essential for URL-based access to cloud applications as it encrypts data transmission and prevents data tampering by unauthorized third parties. Since our Tally users access the application through a URL, we have implemented premium SSL certificates to enhance security.

Bitdefender Antivirus: Just like any local machine needs antivirus protection, virtual machines (VMs) also require antivirus to protect against viruses. We use Bitdefender for top-tier antivirus protection, ensuring comprehensive malware defense for your VMs.

Robust and Reliable Backup System with Advanced Encryption

On Sugam Cloud, we have a multi-level backup mechanism where we take your Tally data’s backup at both the server level and the VM level. Additionally, Sugam users can take backups of Tally data on their local systems whenever needed

Server-level backups are taken automatically thrice a day, and at the VM level, VM snapshots are taken every 24 hours

We have employed advanced encryption to protect your backup data both in transit and at rest, ensuring that your critical information remains confidential and secure from outsiders.

Robust Restore Mechanism

On Sugam Cloud, we have developed a robust restore mechanism whereby users with admin access can restore local-level backups as well as server-level backups on their own, without needing assistance from our team.

Disaster Recovery

We also have disaster recovery mechanisms in place in case of data center crashes, server-level crashes, and VM-level crashes. Our mechanism ensures minimal downtime for your business operations.
  • In the event of a data center failure, we restore your data within 3 hours.
  • If a server fails, we restore it within 30 minutes.
  • For a virtual machine (VM) failure, we restore the secure VM within 3 hours.

Additional Securities

Apart from all the security measures discussed above, we also have additional security features in place.

These include:
  1. IP Restrictions: IP restrictions help prevent unauthorized access to your Tally from IPs other than specified ones.
  2. Two-Factor Authentication: With two-factor authentication, an additional layer of protection is activated. Users are required to enter a verification code sent to their registered email address in addition to the normal login.
  3. Access Controls: This security feature allows you to restrict the control of your Tally data only to authorized admins.
  4. Access & Login Logs: On Sugam Cloud, you get detailed logs of user and admin activities. Monitoring access user log history from the admin panel helps you track and prevent suspicious activities.

Ransomware attacks pose a significant threat to Tally Cloud users, but with the right security measures, these risks can be mitigated. Sugam Cloud offers comprehensive security solutions, from infra-level security to disaster recovery, ensuring your data remains safe and your business operations run smoothly.

Protecting your Tally data from ransomware is not just about implementing security measures but also about partnering with a trusted provider like Sugam Cloud.
